Serving Newbury, Vermont

November 2022

The Club is gradually resuming its regular activities after almost 3 years of pandemic disruptions.  This year has seen the return of the spring flea market, several garden group trips, a summer potluck, and, best yet, the start of work on the front porch project at the Old Village Church on the Common. Additionally, we hosted a very successful bake sale table at the Newbury Congregational Church’s Fall Festival this past September. Perhaps it will be the start of an annual fundraiser for us! Speaking of new activities, the Club has agreed to work with the Tenney Memorial Library in supervising the “Little Library” they have installed next to the Town Clerk’s Office. Created with help of the Newbury After-School Program, the library will provide 24 hour access to books for the community.  Also, after a 2-year absence, we are looking forward to our in-person version of the annual business meeting/holiday get-together in December. Check out the relevant pages on this site to find out more about all our plans and activities.

Please click to our “Old Village Church News” and “Club Fundraisers” pages to learn more about these activities. Also check out our Go Fund Me page to lend your monetary support to our work.  Also new is our Facebook page (@newburywomansclub)!  .
