Not really a fundraiser, more of a community spirit raiser, we will be participating in the Newbury Recreation Department’s HALLOWEEN TRUNK OR TREAT – Sunday, Oct. 26 – 3PM-?  Dani, has offered to staff a “trunk” under the aegis of the Woman’s Club for this and Larissa has agreed to provide individually wrapped Halloween cookies for the “treat.”  If you’re in the Village that afternoon, you might want to stop by to enjoy all the costumes and say hi to friends and neighbors. 

One fundraising project we began a few years ago, but have begun to advertise with great results, is the collection of returnable bottles and cans at the Newbury Recycling Center.  We have a core group of volunteers who manage this effort and the income from it has been gratifying and funds many of our community donations and events (such as the Trunk or Treat!)
